Maria Eriksson is a postdoc at the Department of Arts, Media and Philosophy at Basel University. Eriksson’s research has explored the technical environment surrounding digital sound/music (Eriksson 2019), the cultural/political dimensions of software (Eriksson & Johansson 2018), and the use of digital, experimental, and interventionist methods (Eriksson & Snickars et al. 2019). Currently, her research focuses on the development and critical analysis of computer vision techniques and automated strategies of audiovisual content identification (Eriksson & Heuguet 2021; Eriksson & Skotare 2021).
